Bone marrow or solid organ transplant recipient is tested for ABO and Rh type to determine compatibility with potential donor(s). In addition, an antibody screen (indirect antiglobulin test) is performed to determine the presence of preformed red blood cell alloantibodies or autoantibodies in the serum.

• Sample Required: 7 ml EDTA
• Normal Test Values: See individual tests
• Analytic Time: 24 hours if weekday; 48 hours if weekend
• Days Test is Set Up: Monday through Sunday
